Understanding Our 'High Mileage' oil Package. Should I use it?

The term "High Mileage" actually refers to vehicles with over 75,000 miles—typically older or heavily used cars—not the distance you can drive between oil changes. Before choosing HM oil, it's important to consider your vehicle’s current condition:

  • Does it burn or leak oil?
  • Does the engine run rough, or make ticking/knocking sounds?

If so, your vehicle may benefit from HM oil. These formulations include special additives designed to help reduce leaks, minimize wear, and improve performance in well-worn engines. Still unsure if it's the right choice for your vehicle? We’re here to help. Let us inspect your vehicle and offer personalized advice based on your engine's performance and condition.

What oil filter do you use?

We use premium-quality oil filters from MANN+HUMMEL, a global leader in filtration technology known for exceptional German engineering. These filters are produced under the CarQuest brand in advanced manufacturing facilities across the USA. Due to global supply chain adjustments after the pandemic, some filter models may be manufactured at select overseas locations. However, every MANN+HUMMEL oil filter—regardless of where it's made—is guaranteed to meet or exceed OEM standards for fit, form, and function. We also offer other trusted brands like Wix and ACDelco, ensuring your vehicle gets the high-quality protection it deserves.

Do you service diesel powered vehicles?

Due to limited demand and the logistical challenges of stocking diesel-specific products, we evaluate diesel vehicle service requests on a case-by-case basis. Service pricing is determined after identifying the make and model of your diesel vehicle. Please contact us directly for more information or to discuss your service needs.

When and how do I pay; do you accept credit cards?

Payment is due when your keys are returned. We accept:

  • Cash
  • 1st party checks
  • All major credit cards (please note: a 4% surcharge applies to credit card payments)

If you require alternative payment arrangements, please let us know — we’re happy to accommodate you.

Do you service vehicles all year long?

Yes! We service vehicles year-round, through all four seasons. However, certain weather conditions may occasionally prevent us from performing our service safely or effectively. Please check out the guidelines below for more details.

Weather Policy & Service Guidelines

For maximum efficiency, we recommend checking the weather forecast before scheduling your appointment.

We are happy to service your vehicle in misty or light rain conditions. However, in the case of moderate to heavy rain, we may need to reschedule your appointment for safety and quality reasons. Please note that snowstorms and sub-freezing temperatures prevent us from safely performing our services and will also require rescheduling. Regardless of the season, we always run your engine until it reaches a suitable operating temperature before beginning service. This step ensures the old oil flows freely and suspends contaminants, allowing for a more effective and thorough oil removal process.

How often should I have my oil changed?

Oil Change Recommendations Summary:

Check Your Owner’s Manual First

  • Your vehicle manual outlines recommended oil change intervals.
  • Most people don’t realize they often drive under "severe conditions" (as defined by the manufacturer).

What Are "Severe Driving Conditions"?
These include:

  • Stop-and-go traffic
  • Frequent short trips, especially in cold weather
  • Towing or carrying heavy loads
  • Dusty or gravel roads
  • Driving in mountainous areas
  • Sustained highway driving in very hot weather

Why It Matters:
Driving in these conditions can:

  • Break down motor oil faster
  • Require more frequent oil and oil filter changes

Our Oil Change Recommendations:

  • Semi-Synthetic Oil: every 4,000 miles
  • Full Synthetic Oil: every 6,000 miles

Personalized Advice:
We'll ask about your specific driving habits to tailor a maintenance schedule that fits your situation.

How long can I expect my oil change to take?

At Easy Lube, we focus on service with care and excellence—not speed. We never rush our work because our priority is doing the job right, not just quickly. Every service is completed thoroughly, cleanly, and safely. We take the time to inspect and clean everything we touch, remove, or disassemble. This attention to detail ensures that your vehicle receives the highest standard of care. For this reason, you can expect your Easy Lube oil change to take approximately 60 to 75 minutes from start to finish.

Will you service my vehicle with oil, filter, and parts I already have or can supply?

We appreciate your business. However, we do not accept customer-supplied oil or parts for service. Thanks for your understanding.

Will having my oil changed by someone other than the dealer void my warranty?

Absolutely not! It’s actually illegal for a dealer to deny your warranty coverage just because you had routine maintenance done elsewhere. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, enforced by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), manufacturers and dealers cannot void your warranty or deny coverage simply because someone other than the dealer performed maintenance. At Easy Lube, we provide every customer with a detailed report documenting the service performed and any parts installed on your vehicle. Just keep this document as your proof of maintenance. Need another copy? No problem — just let us know and we’ll gladly send you a reprint.

Is Easy Lube On-Site Oil Change a franchise?

No. Easy Lube On-Site Oil Change is an independent, locally owned business. The owners of Easy Lube are the only people you'll deal with from the moment you make your appointment until the completion of your service! Our business model is how we assure our customers receive the high quality, impeccable service, and attention to detail we demand of ourselves. Our aim is to revive the best business practices of the past while reintroducing true 'customer service' as something real, not just a cheap, meaningless, catchphrase.
