Do you service diesel powered vehicles?

Due to low demand and the logistics of stocking the extraordinary variety of both gas and diesel products, Easy Lube On-Site Oil Change currently does not service diesel powered vehicles.

When and how do I pay; do you accept credit cards?

We take payment when we return your keys. We accept cash, 1st party checks, and all major credit cards (add 3% surcharge if paying by credit card).  If you require other payment arrangements let us know and we'll be happy to accommodate you.

Do you service vehicles in the rain, snow or freezing temperatures?

For efficiency we suggest you check the forecast before planning your appointment. We have no problem servicing your vehicle in misty/light rain conditions. In the event of moderate - heavy rain we'll ask to reschedule your appointment. Snow storms and sub-freezing temperatures (mid 20's and lower) preclude us from safely servicing your vehicle. No matter the time of year we will always run your engine until it reaches a reasonable operating temperature before we start our service. This ensures the old oil will flow freely and suspend contaminants for efficient, thorough, and proper old oil removal.

How often do I really need to change my oil?

To find the best answer to this question you should first read your vehicle owners manual. Most drivers fail to realize that the majority of vehicles driven in Upstate NY fall under what your owners manual classifies as 'severe driving conditions': stop & go traffic, frequent short distances (especially in freezing temperatures), heavy loads, dusty/gravel roads, mountain travel, or driving highway speeds in very hot weather. These conditions shorten the life of your motor oil and require that it, along with your oil filter, be changed on a more frequent schedule. As your service provider, we'll ask you about your specific driving habits and make a "best practices" recommendation for you. Currently, we generally recommend oil change intervals for Synthetic Blend oils at 4,000 miles and Full Synthetic oils at 6,000 miles. Either way you can rest assured that our superior quality oils will protect your engine!

How long will it take to change my oil?

Easy Lube On-Site Oil Change takes great pride in providing professional and efficient service with care and excellence. We won't hastily rush our work. Our focus is to provide quality service done correctly, thoroughly, cleanly, and safely. You can expect your Easy Lube oil change to take about 60 minutes from start to finish.

Will you change my oil using oil and oil filter I already have?

Yes. But only after we verify that the oil and oil filter you provide is appropriate/compatible for your specific vehicle. We will charge you our *Package #2 rate (*see services & pricing) whether your vehicle takes conventional, semi, full, or European oil. In the event we need to supply additional oil and/or oil filter, you will be charged accordingly for the oil grade and/or filter we supply which will be added to the previously stated rate plus tax.

Will having my oil changed by someone other than the dealer void my warranty?

Absolutely not! In fact it's illegal for a dealer to deny your warranty coverage simply because you had routine maintenance performed by someone else. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, which is enforced by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), makes it illegal for manufacturers or dealers to claim that your warranty is void or deny you warranty coverage simply because someone other than the dealer did the work. Easy Lube provides every customer with a detailed report documenting the service performed and parts installed on your vehicle. Simply keep this document as your proof of maintenance. Should you ever need another copy let us know and we'll send you a reprint.

Is Easy Lube On-Site Oil Change a franchise?

No. Easy Lube On-Site Oil Change is an independent, locally owned business. The owners of Easy Lube are the only people you'll deal with from the moment you make your appointment until the completion of your service! Our business model is how we assure our customers receive the high quality, impeccable service, and attention to detail, we demand of ourselves. Our aim is to reinstitute the best business practices of the past proving that 'Customer Service' is more than a meaningless catchphrase.
